Brandt Brothers is a full service transportation and delivery company with more than 200 vehicles in our fleet including tractor trailers, bobtails, boxed vans, and courier vehicles.

It is extremely rare to meet someone that has had only one job in their work career. Meet Phillip! Phillip started with Brandt Brothers at the age of twelve, working for his father and took over the company at the age of twenty-four and has never looked backed. From his innovative ideas and solutions to working side by side with his employees Phillip has been the catalyst behind the growth and exceptional customer service at Brandt Brothers.
Professional Courier DBA Brandt Brothers was founded by William Brandt in 1978. The company’s beginnings were that of a newspaper distributorship that consisted of deliveries to business, retail, and vending machines. In 1979 Phillip Brandt joined the family business and worked side by side with his father until his father’s retirement in 1990. Through Phillip’s vision, Brandt Brothers is now the largest distributor of newspapers on the West Coast. Any person you see reading a newspaper on the West Coast was made possible by Brandt Brothers! Through the years, Brandt Brothers has grown to become a full-service transportation company. We now deliver for a variety of customer’s utilizing its extensive fleet of 200 plus trucks consisting of Tractor Trailers, Bobtails, Boxed Van’s, and Courier Vans. Other services provided include transportation logistics, distribution facility design, dock management, product flow management, same day delivery service.
Our people behind the scenes are just as important as our drivers on the road. We work as a team from top to bottom to make sure to give our customers the best results and transportation experience possible.
Scott attended CSU Fresno where he obtained his degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accountancy. Scott began his professional career working for his father’s CPA firm for 13 years, which is where he met Phillip. Phillip convinced Scott to join the Brandt Brothers team in 2014. Since his arrival, Scott has been instrumental in streamlining the processes and procedures. While Scott’s initial role was overseeing all financial operations as the Chief Financial Officer, in 2020 he began to oversee all day-to-day operations and assisted in the direction and focus on growth opportunities for the Company. In 2021, after 40 years, Phillip Brandt began his transition towards retirement Scott assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer and Owner of Brandt Brothers.
Tom attended CSU Fresno where he obtained his degree in Business Management. Having 30 plus years of managerial experience Tom began working for Brandt Brothers in 1997. Promoted to Manager in 1998 General Manager in 2000, Tom specializes in operations and route maximization. Over his tenure Tom has done everything from driving and loading trucks to oversee all operations and deliveries throughout the company across multiple states. Tom’s expertise was critical and vital in growing Brandt Brothers from a small newspaper distributor with a fleet of less than 10 trucks to being the largest newspaper distributor on the Western United States overseeing a fleet of 200 vehicles. Tom assistance was not only in management of operations but of putting together plans for our customers to maximize efficiency and maximize cost savings.
Nick has been with Brandt Brothers for over 8 years beginning his tenure in 2016 while attending CSU Fresno’s Craig School of Business, Balancing school and work nick initially took on a minimal role with Brandt Brothers just helping around the office before slowly beginning to wear multiple hats and learning all aspects of Our company. Through the years Nick took on many roles, including operations, dispatch, management and vital contributions to growing new business. After earning his degree, he, along with his operational responsibilities began shifting his focus to taking on the Human Resources Management role. As our company’s Human Resource Manager Nick is handling all of the HR duties overseeing all of our 150+ employees.
Christian Soto, a seasoned professional in shipping and logistics, boasts over 25 years of dedicated service across three prominent companies. USSC Mail Marketing, Transcontinental Direct Digital Printing, and California Community News/LA Times. He brings an unparalleled level of knowledge of logistics and warehousing to Brandt Brothers/Professional Couriers. Chris has effectively managed complex supply chains, optimizing efficiency and ensuring timely deliveries. Throughout his tenured career, having been a key player in driving the success of each organization, combining strategic planning with hands-on leadership to navigate the dynamic world of shipping - receiving and logistics. His expertise has not only spanned various industries but has consistently delivered results that underscore his commitment to excellence in the field of new age transportation.
With over 40 years in trucking and distribution, David Holland has driven operational excellence across multiple organizations. Since 2022, as Terminal Manager at Brandt Brothers Ent. in Phoenix, he oversees all terminal operations, including maintenance and vendor relations. Previously, at Hurley Transportation Companies (2002–2022), he served as General Manager, managing production and delivery for major publications like The Arizona Republic and USA Today, while leading transportation services for 12 clients across multiple states. From 1988–2002, as Operations Manager at Hurley, he optimized LTL carrier operations, managed payroll, and ensured DOT compliance. Earlier roles at Riteway Transport (1981–1987) saw him rise from Dockworker to Operations Manager, streamlining freight distribution. Certified in Hazardous Materials Awareness and Effective Supervisory Management, David’s strategic leadership and hands-on expertise consistently enhance efficiency and client satisfaction in logistics.
Following in his Grandfather William and Father Phillip’s footsteps, as a 3rd generation Brandt, Bevan began working for Brandt Brothers washing trucks and cleaning the shop as a teenager. Now 10 years later Bevan has worked and been involved in every aspect of this business. From driving trucks, loading trucks, running and managing the dock, dispatching loads, managing drivers and staff, assisting in logistics, working directly with customers including growing new business, Bevan has it covered.
With 13 years at Brandt Brothers, David A. Hernandez has risen from a dedicated driver to a pivotal manager. Starting at age 25, he mastered fleet operations and routes, showcasing unwavering commitment. By 30, his leadership potential earned him a promotion to lead, followed by a managerial role where he spearheaded new contracts and managed teams. From driving van box trucks to overseeing tractor trailer loads, David’s strategic oversight and hands-on leadership have elevated Brandt Brothers, reflecting his resilience and dedication to excellence in logistics.
Jake started with Brandt Brothers in February of 2024 as a Corporate Administrator/Office Manager. Jake is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton in which he pursued his baseball career. Jake Handles all of the vehicle registrations and compliance, works with dispatch to organize schedules for efficiency, and also helps with billing customers. Jake has quickly learned the process of the transportation world and will continue to excel as he moves up & through the ranks.
